Amazing Concealer by Amazing Cosmetics is an excellent product for brightening, highlighting/contouring, and color correction.
I will cover the whole product but want to start with the price which seems to turn people off. I bought .5 oz of this product for $42. My other favorite concealer is Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer that comes in around $12 for .04 oz which makes it come out to be about $150 if it came in a .5 oz container. In other words, Amazing Cosmetics is much less expensive by volume.
The conealer comes in a simple squeeze tube with a screw cap at the bottom. The tube opening is small which prevents lots of air getting in to oxidize the product. It isn't flashy packaging but it is utilitarian.
The product texture is something between a liquid and a cream. This concealer can be applied with the fingers, a brush, sponge, or cotton swab. I find the Sonia Kashuk makeup sponge is quite good, as is a soft eyeshadow crease brush.
The concealer sets fairly quickly so I recommend applying it as you go, not dotting over the face and then going back to blend. Using a moisturizer or a setting spray like MUFE Mist and Fix will give you more blending time.
The concealer sets itself and does not require powder to prevent slippage. I recommend using a finely milled powder such as silica on the lower lid to prevent the product from getting in to your mascara - as it contains mineral oil, petrolatum, and lanolin oil - all of which can and will break a mascara down, causing smudging and raccoon eyes.
Mineral oil. Some of you might be sensitive to it. If you are: avoid this product. You have been warned. Lucky for me, mineral oil does not irritate my skin.
The performance is solid for brightening (it contains silica which is light reflective) and coverage (it contains titanium dioxide and / or iron oxide which contribute to opacity). One warning: because of the light reflective properties, I caution against wearing this while being photographed with a flash. The silica can reflect what looks like a white cast in the photo - not pretty unless you have a talented photoshop tech to clean it up in post production.
My final note: fair maidens rejoice! The shade Fair is so light that it is even a tad light for my pale pale skin which NEVER happens. If you find yourself disappointed by concealers that are too dark to brighten your under eye circles, you can rest here. This concealer comes in a shade made for you.
