It stood up to an eight hour work day fine. I normally have to blot and repowder every hour or so but this didn't need as much attention. I did have to blot once but did not have to re-powder. As many people have complained about - there is a REALLY good chance this product will clog your pores and cause you to break out. I did once or twice with it. I feel this product will only work fantastically for a very small group of people with the perfect skin type needed for this. I used Bare Escentuals for several years, then switched to Smashbox Halo because I was looking "cakey". Halo was fine for a bit but started to look too matte for me (I like a dewey look). I have never been a fan of any kind of liquid/cream/stick foundation (hate the sticky feel on the face) but since I wasn't happy w/mineral foundations anymore decided to try this oil-free tinted foundation. Why oil free: I have sensitive skin and there's a short questionnaire on Laura Mercier's website that recommends type of product and color to purchase.

The questionnaire recommended two shades from which to select. I opted for the darker shade (always go darker rather than lighter when in doubt) but it came with a sample of the lighter shade which I thought was smart! Tried both and really, a combo of the two would be perfect for me (thus the 4 starts rather than 5) but using the darker shade is what I will stick with.

It provides great coverage for a tint! I was amazed and I don't have perfect skin (some fine red veins from rosacea). Some reviewers said it went on dry. Before I purchased I called the company and asked about the dry complaints; they said to apply it a little at a time covering small areas. I have normal skin and it was not dry at all. I tried doing larger areas and that's where I encountered problems.

I am very pleased with this product and will definitely purchase again. If you have normal-dry skin I'd mix it with a little of your moisturizer but still put it on in small doses. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by this product.

Oh, and by the way, when you finish applying it it will not look dewey, but wait a half-hour or so (Halo was like this, too) and you will see a beautiful finish and a glowing complexion. But i'm happy i did buy it, i was able to get a week's worth of samples from Sephora and was able to see how my skin would react to it. I'm 54 years old and hesitated to try this expensive product until I read a lot of reviews and took the plunge. Boy, am I ever glad I did, too. This stuff is like a face lift in pen form. It doesn't cover up blemishes and under eye circles or marionette lines, etc. so much as it seems to make them disappear by reflecting light, without any of the gunky, cakey look that most concealers (particularly the ones for under the eyes) create. It doesn't sink into under-eye creases or any other creases, for that matter, and you can use it just about anywhere you need a lift, or any of the dark shadows on your face. It creates a lifted effect, and a diffusion of imperfections. It doesn't even cake after hours and hours on your face either.

I never would've believed that anything could work this well while not being a thick, heavy cover-up. And it works better than any previous cover-up I've ever tried. It even covers freckles and the occasional breakout.

Definitely my one "desert island" cosmetic, and I can't see ever being without it, so long as I have a job. By the way, I'm using the peach tone, which is particularly effective at diffusing under-eye circles.
